Biography

Born into a family originally from Bir Ali Ben Khalifa in the governorate of Sfax, Ms. Mabrouka M’Barek studied law and management in France. She continued her studies at the Reims Business School, focusing on management in the Arab World. After a first experience in Yemen, she moved to the United States to begin a career as an auditor specializing in financial control, information systems security, risk management and fraud prevention. Mabrouka left the for profit sector to dedicate her work with humanitarian NGOs and human rights based civil societies in the Middle East. Besides being responsible for the relation of the party to the media, Mabrouka’s contribution to the Congress for the Republic is a draft of an open government initiative in Tunisia. She has made of open government her signature project.
